Frequently Asked Questions |
How are courses selected to be run?
Each member company is contacted with regard to their individual training needs. This process is also supplemented by requests as the year progresses and companies gain a clearer picture of their training requirements. Companies are free to contact the network manager at any time with course specific requests or modified content on any advertised courses. Where possible these will be accommodated.
Content, duration and dates can be modified to suit the requirements of participants.
How does the subvention mechanism work?
All courses are charged at full cost up-front. The network subsequently refunds participants on a quarterly basis. The network is a not-for-profit organisation and is dependent on grant monies from Skillnets which comes in tranches. This mechanism prevents any potential cash flow difficulties. Subvention is typically up to 50%.
Do I need to have chosen a vendor and content to make a request?
No—let us know what your business requirement is and the network manager can source a vendor and content to suit.
How are vendors chosen?
Vendors are chosen based primarily on quality, flexibility, price, the ability to deliver within the region. The network rarely takes off the shelf courses and the vendors are asked to modify content based on the specific needs of participants. The primary focus is to maximise the business impact of training delivered.
How are the specific locations chosen?
All training is delivered across the region. Typically the area with the largest number of participants will host the training. First in has always got the best chance!
